Part of the "Made of Belize" commercial campaign for Belikin, this spot took us deep into the "culture capital" of Belize. We saddled up with one of country's most talented music producers, Mr. Junie Mar, and proceeded on a mission to catch a vibe. Since we were capturing Junie in his element, we did our best to keep the production nimble and out of the way. This left room for a lot of spontaneity and 'happy accidents.' My focus became about finding the trusted collaborators that Junie could rally to his studio in a Blue's Brothers putting the band back together-type way. The fact that we were then able to capture the process of making the same song you hear in the commercial ... well, it felt meant to be. Not everything made in Belize is made of Belize and there's nothing more authentic than the musical bloodlines that run through the communities of southern Belize.
